Terms of use

• What FMCheck is. A free fan-made calculator that estimates what a scrolled MapleStory Classic item might sell for, from prices you enter yourself. It's an estimate, not a guaranteed price, an appraisal or financial advice.
• Use at your own risk. FMCheck is provided "as is", without any warranty. Its data or math can be wrong or out of date. You're responsible for the prices you buy and sell at. We aren't liable for any loss, in game or otherwise, that comes from using it.
• Not affiliated with Nexon. FMCheck is an unofficial fan project and isn't endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Nexon. MapleStory and all game names, icons and sprites are trademarks and property of Nexon.
• Data sources. Item and scroll data come from the OSMS Data Explorer public dataset by @ohmi (CC BY 4.0). FMCheck doesn't collect prices from other sites; "check price" only links to them.
• Fair use of the site. Don't attack, overload or try to break the site, and don't use it for real-money trading.
• The FMCheck code, design and logo are © 2026 Liad Kaufman, all rights reserved.
• Donations are voluntary, help cover the site's running costs, and don't buy anything: no features, priority or refunds.
• Changes. These terms may change; the date above shows the latest version.

Privacy

• No accounts, no sign-up, and no ads or ad trackers.
• The prices you type are saved only in your own browser (local storage), so you don't retype them. They never reach us. Clear your browser's site data to remove them.
• Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
• Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which may briefly process technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
• Fonts and icons are served from this site; your browser doesn't contact Google or other font services.
• Reading a screenshot happens entirely in your browser: your picture is never uploaded. The first time you use it, the text-reading tool (Tesseract.js) and its English language file download from cdn.jsdelivr.net and tessdata.projectnaptha.com.
• Links to other sites (meso.watch, Discord, PayPal, OSMS) follow those sites' own privacy policies once you click them. Donations are handled entirely by PayPal; we never see your payment details.

Accessibility statement

We want FMCheck to be usable by everyone. The site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA (the basis of Israeli Standard 5568) and is checked with automated accessibility tests.

• Keyboard: everything works with the keyboard; a "Skip to the calculator" link comes first, and focus is always visible.
• Screen readers: form fields have labels, the item search is announced as a list of suggestions, and the price and chance update aloud when they change. The item card image has a full text description.
• Colors: text meets AA contrast in light and dark mode.
• Accessibility options (the round button at the bottom left): larger text, stop animations, high contrast and underlined links. Your choice is saved in your browser.
• Motion: the floating background stops by itself if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Mobile: the layout works on small screens and with zoom.

Known limits: game icons and sprites are images from the game and have no text of their own; the item names next to them say what they are. The background animation is decorative only.
